Connector for data exchange between models with matching parameter characteristic.

1. Purpose of Model

Providing a connector for the exchange of the parameters for pressure, mass flow rate and specific enthalpy between the models of the StaticCycles package

2. Level of Detail, Physical Effects Considered and Physical Insight

2.1 Level of Detail

Referring to Brunnemann et al. [1], this model refers to the level of detail L1.

3. Limits of Validity

Connectors only should be used within the StaticCycles package.

4. Interfaces

The SteamSignal connectors provide following variables for the data exchange between single models:

• Pressure p
• Specific enthalpy h
• Mass flow rate m_flow

6. System Description and General model approach

The SteamSignal_blue connector is used as an inlet port in case of:

• The value of the pressure is computed or set by parameter internally and is provided for neighbour components
• The values of enthalpy and mass flow rate are determined externally and are provided by neighbour components.

The SteamSignal_blue connector is used as an outlet port in case of:

• The value of the pressure is determined externally and is provided by neighbour components
• The values of enthalpy and mass flow rate are computed or set by parameter internally and are provided for neighbour components.

7. Remarks for Usage

Components can be connected via the SteamSignal connectors if they have the corresponding inlet and outlet ports with matching colour.
